Softball divisions

Winchester Little League softball runs three divisions — Ponytail, Minor and Senior — so every girl finds the right level of play.

League age 5–8

Ponytail

  • For league age 5-8 year old girls
  • Coach pitch
  • All players will participate in tryouts
  • Teams will be formed by a draft
  • Number of teams is determined by number of participants
  • Ponytail league rules apply

League age 9–12

Minor

  • For league age 9-12 year old girls
  • This league is a machine pitch league
  • All players will participate in a tryout session organized and scheduled by Winchester Little League
  • Teams will be formed by a draft in accordance with Little League International guidelines
  • Number of teams will be determined by number of participants
  • Minor league softball rules apply

Senior

  • For league age 13-16 year old girls
  • This is a player pitch league
  • All players must participate in tryouts scheduled and held by Winchester Little League
